Skin Care |
Skin is the truth that needs care no matter your age or skin type. But no need to break in worry, just follow this skin care regimen along with proper diet and find your skin glowing with confidence. Relax take no stress, and be assured that there will be no zits to worry you at all on your very special prom event. But the stress and constant worry for weeks on end can make it all happen. So keep skin clean, nourished and pampered and it will respond in gratitude and you will reap the benefits.
Before you start with the proper skincare routine, you'll need to know your skin type. How you care for your skin is utterly dependent on the type of skin you have: oily, normal/combination, dry, sensitive or sun- damaged. It’s important to start early with a good face/skin routine to help ensure good skin on your exceptional night. Follow these tips to take care of your skin properly, from the right way to wash your face, to the best moisturizers & UV protection: |
|
- Cleansing is the first step to skin protection. Use a good cleanser and stick on it. Most cleansers contain oil, water & surfactants. The oil dissolves oil on your face, surfactants dissolve dirt & makeup & the water washes it all away. Also be careful about over-cleansing your skin.
- Gentle exfoliation is the most important thing you can do for bright glowing skin. Exfoliate your face with a mild scrub once a week to remove dry flakes and dead cells. The secret to exfoliating is to make way for new skin cells by getting rid of dead skin cells allowing skin to absorb more moisture for that youthful radiant appearance.
- Moisturizing is the most essential law of beauty. No matter your skin type, you should moisturize it regularly except those with acne. Moisturizers attract moisture and draw it into the skin to plump skin cells. Avoid too much moisturizing as it can cause pore clogging.
- Apply sunscreen to avoid sun damage causing wrinkles. So it's important to use sunscreen from your early years even in winter & cloudy days. It is advisable to buy 2 moisturizers: one for nighttime & one for daytime with UV protection. Don't use moisturizers with sunscreen at night, as the ingredients are not meant to be used 24/7 & can damage the skin. When choosing a sunscreen, make sure it contains 1 of 3 ingredients as an 'active ingredient': titanium dioxide, zinc oxide or Parsol 1789 (avobenzene).
- Use eye creams to avoid pre mature wrinkles near eyes. Some beauty experts strongly recommend eye creams as the eye area contains no fatty tissue as it is very thin & susceptible to wrinkles. These special eye creams are formulated to 'thicken' this area & keep it sturdy.
- Drink ample water , be an H2O Fanatic and have at least eight glasses of water a day to ensure healthy cleansing, inside and outside.
- Take Vitamin E pill, once a day to help repair and rejuvenate skin.
- Moisturize Lips daily using moisturizing balms or chap sticks.
- Avoid heavy make up in case you have a great skin and allow your natural beauty to radiate.
- Use body wash/scrub for the entire body when you take shower. Lather up a loofah and use it at elbows, knees and heels. You can use a scrub with a mild exfoliator for dry areas or mix a packet of raw sugar with a few drops of olive oil and rub this mixture in a circular motion over dry areas, such as elbows and then rinse with warm water.

Electrolysis and Laser Hair Removal methods are intense form of hair removal methods. Electrolysis is a way of removing individual hairs from the face or body.
